Type: General picture of the south part of the excavation area, southwest corner.

Site: Raisio, Ihala, Mulli abode.

Period: Viking Age / Crusade Age / Early Middle Ages.

Dating: 980-1220 A.D.

Photographer: Taina Pietikäinen.

Direction of photography: From west.

 

The first clay floor was clearly visible already in the first year of the excavations, 1994. The square-shaped clay floor is rather light-coloured and can be seen in this picture. In its surroundings, sooty and dirty soil was discovered.
