This is a research project. Among its objectives are to understand how history is created, and communicated.
Since the project pertains Latin America, I researched, transcribed and, in some cases translated, original documents that were utilized to create an image, or vision, of the american continent for the european mind.
In addition, I investigated writing as primary technology used in the creation of the documents. Because most of the sources utilized are scientific reports, I also researched the functional aspects these fulfilled as instruments of communication.
You can traverse on the site on your own, or through a essay (not fully implemented).
