| The Computer Aided Photography lab, established in 1991, was one of the foundations the Media Lab UIAH was built on in 1993. In tight co-operation with the Dept. of Photography, CAP discovered the joys of Photoshop 1.0, Macintosh IIfx and 15 Kg digital camera systems.
In the recent years, digital imaging activities have become a part of everyday life at the Dept. of Photography, moving away from us. We still provide the basic courses in digital imaging for students of photography, but do not host projects anymore. In CAP's tradition of seeing how digital technology can take photography further, former CAP co-ordinator Jon Nykänen is now looking into 3D photography techniques at SpatialDocumentary.Net.
